The SeattleCoach Training Program (ACSTH) All are investing the time, money and hard work necessary for the craft. I think of good training as "ethical confidence." The SeattleCoach foundational training takes place in three stages. Each is highly interactive, building on individual strengths and team learning. Together, they fulfill the Coach Specific Training for certification by the ICF. • Module I, "The Core Competencies of Coaching" leads participants through a thorough and experiential introduction to the bedrock skills of great coaching. This module lasts approximately three months. This module includes 42 hours of Coach Specific Training. • Module II, "Coaching Presence and Skills Mastery" builds on your skills and focuses on you personal leadership presence as an increasingly masterful Coach. This module too lasts approximately three months. This module includes 32 hours of Coach Specific Training. • "Group Soup": Supervision and Mentorcoaching. Following completion of the two foundational Modules, developing coaches continue the process of refining their skills and personal presence. Participation in this group brings up to an additional 36 hours of Coach Specific Training for coaches seeking a professional ICF credential. The SeattleCoach Training Program has been approved by the ICF for 122.5 "Coach Specific Training Hours," all fully accepted for international certification. (Click here to review the ICF's credentialing specifics.) Many leaders, managers, pastors and counselors resonate with our training because they are considering a new career in Coaching. Others come with the support of their companies, churches and groups with the goal of building stronger organizations and teams. Still others just want to be better managers and leaders. We launched in May 2008 and to date, coaches from four cohorts are growing together as colleagues. Our vision is that this alliance of coaches will grow in numbers and quality in the years to come--individually and together making a difference in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
