Beginning in early 1999,
eight coach training institutions: Coach U (Pamela Richarde), Academy for
Coach Training (Fran Fisher), Coach for Life (Peter Reding), The Coaches
Training Institute (Laura Whitworth), The Hudson Institute of Santa
Barbara (Frederic M. Hudson), Newfield Network-USA (Terrie Lupberger), New
Ventures West (Pam Weiss), and Success Unlimited Network (Kathleen Merker)
have met monthly by phone conferencing to develop and build bridges with
each other; to share literature and practices; to explore ways to develop
coaching knowledge and skills; and to identify standards appropriate for
approved training programs. On May 31, 2000 a meeting was held at The Coaches Training Institute's headquarters in San Rafael, CA.. Present were Frederic Hudson (The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara), Laura Whitworth (The Coaching Training Institute), Peter Reding (Coach for Life) , Pam Weiss (New Ventures West), Pamela Richarde (Coach U), Fran Fisher (Academy for Coach Training), and Kathleen Merker (Success Unlimited Network). They agreed to the creation of "The Association of Coach Training Organizations", a non-profit corporation. With Living Your Vision® at the core of the training program, the Academy took a stand for the transformative coaching paradigm from its inception in 1999, as maintains a strong leadership role in the rapidly growing coaching profession under the brand "inviteCHANGE." Our Certified Professional Coach training program was developed by coaches, for coaches and is delivered by coaches who are active and successful in the profession. With vigilance and commitment to excellence we keep our programs fresh, exciting, meaningful and powerful for all participants.
The Hudson
Institute of Santa Barbara
The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara (HI), founded in 1986, is a training ground where professionals can learn how to sustain resilience, future vision, and renewal within themselves and the environments in which they live and work.
The Newfield Network represents the vision of a group of educators and professionals who have considered -- as an increasing community of thinkers around the world is doing -- the need to review not only the content of what we learn but also our interpretation of learning itself and its practices.
